About Dr. Prince... Personal information Dr. Prince grew up in St. George, where his father, Dr. R.A. Prince, was Southern Utah’s first Orthodontist. Dr. Prince (“Bob”) graduated from Dixie High School in 1972. Dr. Prince and his wife, Diane, have raised three children. Their oldest, works as a Dental Hygienist in Denver, Colorado. Their middle child currently serves as a Spanish speaking missionary for the LDS Church, and their youngest is a student at Dixie Middle School. Education, Experience Schooling After graduating from Dixie High School, Dr. Prince attended Southern Utah State College (now SUU)as a Chemistry major. His four years in dental school was at the University of Southern California, considered by many to be among the finest dental teaching facilities in the world. He graduated in 1981 as a member of Omicron Kappa Upsilon (the national dental honor fraternity) and received his D.D.S. degree. Dr. Prince’s eventual goal was to follow his late father’s footsteps and specialize in the practice of Orthodontics. Over the next two years after his graduation from dental school, he completed the necessary residency to qualify for Specialty status as recognized by the American Dental Association and the American Association of Orthodontists. His first dental practice was in Beverly Hills, California but he moved his family back to St. George in May 1983, and has been in the exclusive practice of orthodontics ever since. Professional Experience Although Dr. Prince graduated from one of the finest residency programs in the United States, he understands that this changing world of high technology requires him to stay current on new procedures and materials. He frequently attends formal course work to learn of the newest and the best. His professional affiliations are membership in the American Dental Association, the Utah Dental Association (where he served as President of the So. Utah District), the American Association of Orthodontists, the Rocky Mtn. Society of Orthodontists, and the Utah Association of Orthodontists (where he served as President in 1998). Dr. Prince is well known throughout the state of Utah for his high standard of care. He was also honored in 1999 for excellence by the Utah Dental Hygiene Association.
